SOLDA antique gold snake choker that was initially valued between £300 to £400, commanded an astonishing £2,800 at Plymouth Auction Rooms. We adore the intricate details of this ornate serpent necklace with a heart-shaped charm dangling delicately from it's mouth. .Snake jewellery gained popularity in the Victorian era after Prince Albert proposed to Queen Victoria with an engagement ring that was made in the likeness of a snake with an emerald set head. It has been seen most recently in collections by Gucci, and of course iconically, the Bulgari Serpenti. Got something to sell?
