An impressive platinum ring set with a central 7.99 carat cushion cut natural Sri Lankan sapphire, measuring 11.26 x 9.02 x 7.10mm, set with three tapered baguette cut diamonds to each side, total diamond weight approx. 0.65 carats (measured within the restrictions of the settings), 6.80gm, size P 1/2, (please note this ring is not hallmarked or tested by us but there is a small indistinct mark on the outside of the shank), comes with a Sapphire Report from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory dated 11 January 2013, number 07024, result natural sapphire with no evidence of heat treatment observed.

A gentleman's 18ct gold Patek Philippe Gondola wristwatch, movement 830062/611656, model number 422J-SCI circa 1940's with manual wind movement, the rectangular case with cream dial with subsidiary second dial, Arabic numerals at 3,9 and 12, snap on back, the movement numbered and marked Patek Philippe & Co Geneva, the backplate also marked with the maker and stamped 611656 18K, case size 35mm x 1 mm including lugs. The watch has just returned from a full Patek Philippe service. Condition - full working order, recently serviced. History - the watch was full serviced at Patek Philippe in 2017 full details on estimate and repair work available including replaced hour hand, dial restoration and cleaning. This watch was the property of James Issacs Stealey. In the 1920's he owned a chain of photographic studios in England and was involved in the famous Jermyn Street Turkish Baths, James was a notorious poker player, a 1940's photograph of James on board a cruise ship shows him wearing his Patek wristwatch (family rumour has it was won in a card game. Following his death in the1950's the watch was stored in a family safe, and then bequeathed to his great grandson who sent it to Patek in 2017 for full restoration

The Beatles, set of autographs, on a page from a small album, collected by the sellers mother 'Christine' when they toured in 1963 with Helen Shapiro, she saw them at the Wakefield ABC, West Yorkshire. The lot includes the album with some other autographs including Spencer Davis, Manfred Mann, Paul Jones, Tom Mc Guinness, Billy J Krame, Susan Vaughan, Peter Jay, Wayne Gibson. There are also some band signatures. Small Faces, Tornados, The Kestrels, also JW Broadbent. Cricketer and a photo of the band Group 66.

A ‘famille-rose’ blue ground scraffiato wall vase, 19th century, the ovoid body with a landscape panel on a stepped base and below a flared neck flanked by moulded guei dragon handles, base with apocryphal four character seal mark of Qianlong in iron-red (pieces to neck restuck), 21.5cm. A similar wall vase, but with a puce scraffiato ground and a calligraphic panel, also dated to the 19th century was sold at Christies, 6th March 2003, lot 335 for £3,290

An impressive large diamond ring, set with one old brilliant cut diamond with an approximate carat weight of 5.50 carats. Also set in the shoulders with six baguette cut diamonds with a combined carat weight of approximately 0.82ct. Having a plain shank judged to be platinum with a filigree head and a double claw rub over setting. Unhallmarked, weight 5.50g. Finger size M. Purchased by the owners family in London in the 1960's.

Rolex Oyster Perpetual Submariner, 1959

Rolex, an Oyster Perpetual Submariner, 100m - 330ft, gentleman's stainless steel wristwatch, circa 1959 with tropic dial and hands, fitted with steel and early jubilee bracelet, model number 6536-1, case number 399410, bezel believed to have been replaced 30 years ago. History: this watch was used in a Rolex advertising portfolio c1960. It is one of two submariner wristwatches given to Stanley Sayer by Rolex and has been in the family ever since. Stanley Sayer was a film cameraman working for Technicolour, he set up a special effects company and also worked on several film sets, including Superman and Star Wars. He was a keen diver and inventor of the minisub. Around 1959, Rolex were interested in using Stanley and his machine in their advertising portfolio and took a number of photos of him in action wearing one of their watches for publication. In payment for his services, he was invited to keep the watch that he wore in a press shoot (this watch, lot 212)  and also given a second submariner, which he gave to his son in 1961. He wore the watch daily until he passed away in April 2000. The watches have been consigned by his son.
